There were 739 passers in the recent Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination. Ninety-Two or 12.44% came from Cebu Schools. The national passing average was 59.3% and the passing average for all examinees from Cebu schools was 53.8%.

University of San Carlos emerged as the best school when it comes to passing average as all of its 18 examinees passed the March 2015 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination.  Cebu Institute of Technology (CITU) produced the most number of new Mechanical Engineers with 36 passers. CITU had a passing average of 66.7% which is higher than the national average.

Two students from Cebu schools ranked within the Top 10 of all examinees.  UC’s Chernan Madugay placed third with an 89.65% rating while USC’s Michael Ray Wenceslas had a rating of 89.45% to place 4th.
