PAGASA has lowered the storm signals of several provinces in Mindanao a few hours after Typhoon Pablo made landfall in Davao Oriental. In the weather bureau’s December 4, 2012 11 am bulletin, only Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, and Camiguin remained under signal No.3 from the 22 areas in Mindanao that were under the same storm signal in PAGASA’s update 6 hours ago.

Southern Cebu remains under signal No.3 along with several provinces in the Visayas. The rest of Cebu is still under signal No.2.   Classes are suspended in all levels here in Cebu.  Residents in the areas under public storm warning are advised to monitor situation and just stay at home if they are no important matters to attend to.  Heavy to intense rainfall is expected within the 500 km diameter of typhoon Pablo.  Residents in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas are advised to evacuate and coordinate with their local government units.
