The top 3 seed are all taken by archers from South Korea as the Philippine’s Mark Javier struggled and landed in 55th place. Legally blind Im Dong-hyun broke his own 72-arrow world record to lead the field with 699 score. Compatriot Bubmin Kim is at second just 1 point behind the leader. Jin Hyek Oh rounded out the top 3. The excellent rankings give South Korea a very good chance to capture the elusive men’s individual gold.
Filipino Mark Javier was 50 points below the pacesetter at 649. He will face Brady Ellison of the USA in the Round of 64.
