UAAP Jrs.: MVP Pingoy leads FEU’s march to the finals

20 Sep

Cebuano Jerie Marlon Pingoy is the Season 74 Junior’s MVP after leading FEU-FERN to a number 1 seeding after elimination round of the Junior’s basketball competition. Pingoy ranaway with the title by averaging 18.5 points, 5.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.2 steals a game. Fellow Cebuano and former Sacred Heart School- Ateneo de Cebu Magi Eagle Kristoffer Porter (Ateneo Blue Eaglets) finished second in the MVP race.

The two up and coming basketball stars met earlier today in the deciding game of FEU-Ateneo Final 4 pairing. Kris Porter had 14 points and 14 rebounds but his efforts were not enough to stop the FEU Baby Tamaraws from getting a finals slot as Jerie Pingoy and Joshua Aguilon combined for 39 points in the 63-56 victory. FEU-FERN will face the NU Bullpups in the finals.

The magical season of Jerie Pingoy continues and he is expected to lead the Baby Tamaraws in their quest for that elusive UAAP Junior’s title.
